Olya Ranguelova is the Deputy Head of the Division in charge, in the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution or ACPR), of the Coordination and the Secretariat of the Single Supervisory Mechanism. In this respect, she is more specifically involved in the preparation of the ACPR’s participation to the Supervisory Board’s meetings of the SSM.
Prior to her current duties, Olya Ranguelova has been responsible, in the ACPR, of the coordination of the transposition of the CRDIV, in liaison with the French Treasury. She was also heading the section in charge, in the International Affairs Department, of the development of the French policy positions on banks’ own funds, governance and remuneration policies and practices, in the context of the ACPR involvement in the BCBS and EBA working groups.
Olya Ranguelova also worked for three years at the European Central Bank at DG-Financial Stability. In this regard, she was more specifically involved in the development of the ECB/Eurosystem positions on EU financial legislation and was representing the ECB at the technical level of the EU Council, in the context of the negotiations by Member States of the EU legislative proposals on securities regulation (e.g. MIFID 2, EU Regulation on Short Selling and certain aspects of CDSs). At the national level, she also worked for the Foreign Exchange Market Operations Division of Banque de France and the Studies and Research Department of the French Prudential Supervision Authority.
She graduated from the Institut d’études Politiques de Paris and holds a master’s degree in International Economics.
