1974–1994: Served in the Armed Forces in different positions.
1993: Graduated from the Military Teaching Department of the V.I. Lenin Military Political Academy in Teaching Philosophy. Holds the rank of colonel in reserve.
1994–2002: Investment Department Head, Deputy Executive Director, Lukoil-Garant Private Pension Fund.
2002–2003: President, Pervy Pensionny Fond Private Pension Fund.
2003: Graduated from the New Moscow Institute of Law in Law.
February 2004: Defended a PhD thesis in Economics: “Organizational and Economic Foundations for Improving Operations of Private Pension Funds in a Market Economy”.
2005–2008: President, Pensionny Kapital Private Pension Fund.
June 2006: Elected Chairman of the Board of Self-Regulating Organization National Association of Private Pension Funds.
September 2008: Elected President of Self-Regulating Organization National Association of Private Pension Funds.
Member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Vice-Chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Committee for Pension System Development and Social Insurance.
Member of the Russian Trilateral Commission on Regulation of Social and Labour Relations.
Member of the Expert Council on Private Pension Funds and Investing Pension Savings of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market.
